Pune : Prashil Jaidev Ambade felicitated for successful expedition at Everest base Camp recently.
He was felicitated at hands of Environmentalist Rakesh Dhotre on Saturday evening in a function held at Bhukum.
on this occasion the manager of Axis Bank Mr. Dheeraj Nandanwar, Social Worker Sidhant Baban Kanake and Pratik Ambade were also present.
Prashil Ambade is originally from Chandrapur district of Vidarbha .He hoisted the Indian Flag on the Everest Base Camp as part of the 13-days India Nepal Expedition. Eight climbers from different states of Maharashtra, Haryana, Rajasthan, Karnataka and Delhi participated in this expedition. YouTuber Prashil Ambade hoisted the Indian Flag by reaching the base camp of Mount Everest, the world's highest peak, which is 17,598 feets above sea level.
Prashil said that in this campaign which lasted for thirteen days, we had to overcome many difficult conditions like low air pressure, low oxygen, long roads and available water.
Environmentalist Rakesh Dhotre said that Prashil reached the Everest base camp and informed people about the damage caused by melting glaciers due to increasing temperature on the earth. He also requested the people to plant a maximum number of trees, so that we can save the melting glaciers due to increasing temperature in the future. He also expressed concern about the consequences of Global Temperature Rise due to felling of trees. He also said that tree plantation is the only way to reduce the rising temperature.
