Satara: In the Phaltan taluka of Satara district, a tribal woman's husband has been locked up in a room and a group rape has been committed on her. The family of this woman used to work at the Kolasa Bhatti, and the owner of the Bhatti, Balu Shekh, along with five others, committed this rape.
This woman is originally from Raigad district and she and her family used to work at the accused's Kolasa Bhatti in Phaltan. 18 days ago, five people raped her by locking her husband in a room. When this woman and her family reached home in Raigad district, she informed her maternal uncle about the incident. After that, this matter was reported to the Deputy Inspector General of Police of the Konkan region. He immediately informed the Superintendent of Police of Satara district. Subsequently, investigations were initiated. A case has been registered in this regard and the owner of Kolasa Bhatti, Balu Shekh, has been taken into custody by the police.
Satara police are conducting further investigations."
