Pune: Department of Visual Arts of MIT World Peace University in collaboration with Department of Peace Studies organised an exhibition to celebrate the creativity that lies at the intersection of art and the pursuit of peace.The art exhibition was held in Dnyaneshwar hall on 27th and 28 October 2023 at MIT WPU Campus and inaugurated at hands of Professor Dr. Vishwanath Karad,Founder President,MIT World Peace University.
The exhibition was a culmination of a state level competition held where more than 200 students, artists, art enthusiasts, all participated and offered their unique interpretations and insights into the theme of Peace. Exhibition showcased more than 150 entries.
The distinct entries were awarded recognition in presence of eminent artist, researcher, senior art academician Prof Dr Sudhakar Chavan, in presence of Rahul Karad(Executive President,MITWPU),Dr Ravikumar Chitnis(Vice Chancellor), Dean Prof Vinay Mundada, Prof Milind Patre, Registrar Ganesh Pokale, Prof Dr Shruti Nigudkar( Program Director, Department of Visual Arts),Dr.Sanjay Upadhye.Prof.Sagar Gotkhindikar,Pallavi Rajwade,Yogadrum Kelkar contributed to the successful organisation of the event.
