progress in the electricity sector under the leadership of Devendra Fadnavis : Vishwas Pathak

Mumbai, 1st July: Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis has led the state towards progress in the electricity sector, as government-owned power companies have successfully completed their work in the past year. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the independent director of the power distribution company, Shri Vishwas Pathak. He made these remarks at a press conference organized at the state BJP office, where the State Media Head Navnath Bhan, and the Mumbai President of the BJP Youth Wing, Tejinder Tiwana, were also present.

Shri Vishwas Pathak stated that electricity is essential in all sectors such as agriculture, industry, trade, and civic amenities. However, during the previous government's tenure, the state faced power outages, and the development projects in the electricity sector stalled, causing financial difficulties for government power companies. After accepting the responsibility of the energy portfolio, Shri Devendra Fadnavis provided a clear direction, set specific goals, and provided the necessary financial and administrative support. Under his leadership, the government power companies in the fields of power distribution, generation, transmission, and renewable energy have regained momentum, contributing to the state's economic development.

He further mentioned that the BJP-Shiv Sena coalition government has launched the Chief Minister's Solar Agriculture Feeder Scheme 2.0 during the past year. The objective of this scheme is to generate seven thousand megawatts of solar energy to provide an uninterrupted power supply for irrigation to farmers throughout the day. Mission 2025 has been set to ensure that at least thirty percent of the agricultural feeders in the state are operated on solar energy by December 2025. This scheme will also help reduce the burden of cross-subsidies on industries. The implementation of this scheme has already begun."
