Pimpri: The murder of Kishor Aavare, the founder and president of the Janvikas Samiti in Talegaon Dabhade, took place on May 12. In this case, the main accused, Chandrabhan Khalde, also known as Bhanu Vishwanath Khalde, was arrested by the anti-Gunda unit of the Pimpri Chinchwad Police.
According to the information provided by the police, Chandrabhan Khalde has been involved in a murder in 1992 and a riot and assault case in 2006. Besides, he is now the main suspect in the Aavare murder case.
In connection with the Aavare murder case, the police had previously arrested Sham Arun Nigadikar, Pravin alias Raghunath Sambhaji Dhotre, and Adesh Vitthal Dhotre, all residents of Talegaon Dabhade, along with Nanya Vitthal More from Akurdi, Pune. Chandrabhan Khalde's son, Gaurav Khalde, was also detained. he had given supari (contract) for the murder of Aavare to these three individuals. During the investigation, the police obtained information about Chandrabhan Khalde's involvement in the murder. When the police started searching for him, Chandrabhan Khalde switched off his mobile phone. and absconded. He was a municipal councilor for about 15 years so no one was willing to provide information about him.
The anti-Gunda unit of the police traced the mobile phones of his relatives and made an attempt to locate him. As a result, the accused was first traced in Khandala and then in Yavat. After that, he went to Hyderabad and finally settled in Sindhi Colony in Nashik. The anti-Gunda unit immediately went to Nashik and arrested him, He has been handed over to the Talegaon Dabhade police.
