Pune: Nationalist Congress Party leader Ajit Pawar, after joining hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party and Shiv Sena, took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister. After Ajit Pawar's revolt, Nationalist Congress Party supremo Sharad Pawar clarified his role in a press conference. He said that the opposition role taken by Ajit Pawar is not a political betrayal, but a direct betrayal.
Sharad Pawar said that two days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a statement. He said that the NCP is a party involved in corruption. But today, he has given oath to some members of the NCP in the cabinet. I am grateful to him for proving that the allegations made against us were not true, said Sharad Pawar.
Clarifying his role, Sharad Pawar said that the leaders of the party have taken a stand against him. This is not new to him. A meeting of prominent leaders in Maharashtra was called earlier. Some questions were being considered. But before that, some people claimed that they are our NCP, the picture will be clear to the people in the next two to three days.
