Mumbai: State Agriculture Minister Abdul Sattar is in trouble. The court has ordered to prosecute him for giving false information to the Election Commission.
Mahesh Shankarpalli, a social activist from Sillod, filed a petition in this regard in 2021. A police investigation has revealed that Abdul Sattar gave false information about his wealth to the Election Commission during the 2014 and 2019 assembly elections. A discrepancy has been found in the information provided in respect of a total of 4 to 5 properties.
After the order of the court, the police investigated the matter. Then this information came to light. Therefore, the Sillod Court has ordered a trial in this case. Abdul Sattar will not be an MLA if the allegations are proven. Moreover, he will also be disqualified from contesting elections for 6 years.
