Mumbai: There are several important developments happening within the Nationalist Congress Party. Major news has just come to light. The party president, Sharad Pawar, has taken strong action against the dissenting leaders, Prful Patel and Sunil Tatkare. Sharad Pawar has directly terminated these two prominent leaders from the party.
Prfulla Patel and Sunil Tatkare were known to be close associates of Sharad Pawar. However, due to their opposition, Sharad Pawar has taken this significant action. Prfulla Patel and Sunil Tatkare have supported Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, which has led to this action against them.
Meanwhile, the state president of the Nationalist Congress Party, Jayant Patil, has sent notices to all the leaders who took oath with Ajit Pawar, including Shivajirao Garje, Narendra Rane, and Vijay Deshmukh, initiating disciplinary action against them. Jayant Patil has also shared this information with the official Twitter account of the Nationalist Congress Party.
What did Jayant Patil write in the letter?
"On 2nd July 2023, Shivajirao Garje, Narendra Rane, and Vijay Deshmukh, who are present leaders, were present for the oath-taking ceremony of the MLAs who joined the current government of Maharashtra. This act is against the party's principles and objectives. Therefore, they are being immediately expelled from the party membership and various positions within the party," Jayant Patil mentioned in his letter.
Ajit Pawar is not the NCP
After Ajit Pawar's resignation, many MLAs pledged their support to Ajitdada, and they conveyed this message through phone calls and direct meetings. Ajit Pawar is not the NCP, as Sharad Pawar has clearly stated. Specifically, to confront the faction within the party, Sharad Pawar has come forward.
