Pune: In Pune, a college student threatened his leady professor to viral a pornographic video of her for a demand of $5,000 This incident has been ongoing since March 2020.
A 36-year-old professor from Manjari has filed a complaint with the Hadapsar police station. According to the complaint, the professor works at a university. The accused, Mayank Singh (26 years old, from Patna, Bihar), contacted the professor through Instagram. He then threatened to defame the professor and demanded that she remove her clothes. He recorded a video of the incident and threatened to make it viral. The video call was made on Instagram and then shared. The accused made several audio and video calls from different IDs.
The accused also sent a nude video of the complainant and demanded $5,000. He threatened to send the video to her husband if she did not comply. The professor immediately reported the incident to the police.
Senior Police Inspector Arvind Gokule stated that the incident occurred two years ago. The accused was a student at the time but he is no longer a student now. The teacher has since quit her job. The accused demanded money using the incident as leverage, leading to the filing of the complaint. The investigation is ongoing.
