Pimpri: Two men, Pramod Sopan Sandbhor (33 years old, from Haraneshwar Wadi, Talegaon Dabhade) and Sharad MurliDhar Salve (30 years old, from Kalewadi), were arrested by the anti-robbery squad of the Pimpri Chinchwad police commissionerate for possessing four pistols in preparation for avenging the murder of Kishor Aware, the founder and president of Janseva Vikas Aaghadi, who was killed on May 12.
Sandbhor was a close associate of Kishor Aware, while Salve was involved in the murder of a political leader in Kopargaon, which took place a few months ago. He had been on bail in that case. The pistols seized were brought from Madhya Pradesh as they admitted to the police.
Former municipal councilor Bhanu Khalde and Kishor Aware had a dispute a few months ago in the Talegaon Dabhade municipal council. At that time, Kishor Aware had slapped Khalde. To take revenge for this, Khade's son Gaurav Khalde hired contract killers to kill Kishor Aware. The murder took place on May 12 in the premises of the Talegaon Dabhade municipal council.
After this incident, the police were on high alert in Talegaon Dabhade. While the anti-robbery squad was patrolling the area, they saw a suspicious car near a bus stop. When they searched the car, they found four pistols. Sandbhor and Salve were arrested, while the three persons managed to escape.
