The number of deaths in the accident in Asud has risen to eight; three more deaths during treatment

 



Dapoli: In an accident that occurred on July 25th, a truck, and a passenger vehicle collided in Asud, Joshi Ali, resulting in the death of five people. Now, three more people have died during treatment, bringing the total number of deaths to eight.


Among them, Mira Mahesh Borakar, 22, and Vandana Chogle, 38, Pajpandhari, died during treatment at the Bhagwat Hospital in  Dapoli. Sharayya Shirgavkar, who was residing in Adkhal, also died in the Dervan hospital.


On the afternoon of July 15th, a magic passenger vehicle heading towards Harnai from Asud collided with a truck coming from Saldure to Dapoli. In this accident, Mariam Taufik Kazi-6, Swara Sandesh Kadam-8, Sandesh Kadam-55, and Farah Taufik Kazi-27, all residing in Adkhal, as well as Anil alias Bobby Sarang, 45, the driver of the truck, died.


After the accident, the driver of the truck, Faiz Rahis Khan (originally from Uttar Pradesh), was arrested and charged by the Dapoli police.


After the accident, MLA Yogesh Kadam was rushed to the hospital in Dapoli, where some doctors and nurses from the Dapoli sub-district hospital were on weekly off but, they also rushed to the hospital to provide assistance. Dr. Mahesh Bhagwat, Dr. Vaishnavi Bhawe, Dr. Nagesh, Dr. Pradeep Bansode, Long Technician Shri. Gite, X-ray Technician Shri. Hemant Naik, Mrs. Ghag (nurse), Mrs. Jadhav (nurse), Mrs. Hande, Sampada Wandkar, Gayatri Bhatkar, Dipika Nandgavkar, Archana Vasave, Nikita Ghugare, and other nursing staff and employees of the sub-district hospital, as well as students from the Ramraje Nursing College, made efforts to provide treatment.
