Pune: Members of the G-20 Education Working Group, including ministers and representatives from various countries, visited the historic Aga Khan Palace in Pune yesterday. On this occasion, they were welcomed in the traditional Indian way by offering them garlands.
Foreign delegates visited several halls in the Aga Khan Palace and saw the events and history associated with Mahatma Gandhi, Kasturba Gandhi, and Secretary Mahadev Bhai Desai. In particular, representatives from South Africa were deeply moved by everything they saw. Other foreign representatives also tried to capture memories by taking photographs.
Many of Mahatma Gandhi's belongings and many events associated with him have been preserved here in photographs. Foreign delegates were also delighted to see this. Neelam Mahajan, who is associated with this memorial, gave foreign representatives complete information about this historic place.
On this occasion, foreign delegates paid tribute to Kasturba Gandhi and Mahadev Bhai Desai by offering flowers at their tombs.
