Pune: The Pune Customs office has seized and destroyed 1,033 kilograms of contraband in nine cases. The drugs were destroyed under the supervision of the Drug Disposal Committee and Pune Customs Commissioner Yashodhan Wanage. The contraband was Destroyed at Maharashtra Enviro Power Limited, MIDC, Ranjangaon, Pune.
In these nine cases, a total of 19 smugglers were arrested and are currently in custody.
To create awareness about the harmful effects of drugs in society, various programs are being organized in schools and colleges in Pune. Popular celebrities and athletes have also shown their support.
