Mumbai: From January to May 2023, a total of 88,108 job opportunities are provided to job seekers in various companies, corporations, and industries in the state through various initiatives under the Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Department. This information was given by the Minister of Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation, Mangal Prabhat Lodha.
The state government is organizing various job fairs and initiatives such as the Maharojgar Melava and the Mahaswayam web portal to provide employment opportunities to job seekers and connect them with various companies, corporations, and industries. The minister also announced the launch of the Mahaswayam web portal, where job seekers can register their education, skills, and experience, and companies can search for skilled candidates. It is necessary for job seekers to register on this portal. The department is also organizing online and offline job fairs through the Rojgar Melava initiative, which has received a good response from job seekers and employers. The minister also mentioned that the department has organized 288 counseling sessions from January to May 2023, benefiting 84,890 job seekers.
Minister Shri. Lotha stated that the department has received registrations from public and private entrepreneurs on the Mahaswayam web portal. Many entrepreneurs regularly advertise job vacancies and conduct online skill development programs through the portal. As a result, there are excellent opportunities for job seekers to find employment through the skill development department's programs.
