Pimpri: The municipal corporation has made arrangements for the welcome of the palkhi of Sant Shreshth Jnaneshwar Maharaj and Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj. In order to make the procession ecofriendly and plasticfree, the commissioner and administrator Shekhar Singh have called for active participation from the public to make the procession green, clean and plasticfree. In a meeting held at the municipal administrative building in Pimpri, various departments were instructed to work together and coordinate to make the procession successful.
Commissioner Shekhar Singh said that the municipal corporation has made detailed plans for the procession and has appointed officers and employees to manage the route and ensure that every 200 meters, 10 officials are present to manage the crowd. In addition, CCTV cameras will be installed at important locations. He urged everyone to work together to ensure that there are no shortcomings in the arrangements, and that in case of any emergency, the control room will be informed immediately.
