Pimpri: Sharad Pawar, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party, has put an end to discussions within the party regarding the candidacy of Amol Kolhe in the Shirur Lok Sabha constituency. However, this has prompted the Bharatiya Janata Party to start their campaign immediately.
The BJP is considering Mahesh Landge, their MLA from Bhosari, as their candidate for the Lok Sabha. Landge has already expressed his willingness to fight the election.
Previously, this constituency was with the Shiv Sena, and Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil was the MP. He too has expressed his desire to contest the election. Therefore, the fate of this constituency will depend on whether it remains with the BJP or goes to the Shiv Sena.
Prime Minister Modi's tenure has completed nine years, and the BJP has taken series of the programs on this eve. Landge shared this information during a press conference held in Pimpri.
