Nagpur: A dispute arose between the pilgrims and the police during the departure of the Alandi Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi procession. Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis has reacted to this incident. No lathi charge was carried out in Alandi, so do not politicize the incident that has not occurred. The safety of the pilgrims is of utmost importance to us, said Fadnavis.
Devendra Fadnavis said that last year's Gravel situation had arisen and some women were also injured at that time. Therefore, a meeting was held with the Chief District Judge, Commissioner of Religious Affairs, Temple Chief Vishwasrao Dhage Patil, and all the respected leaders of the community, and it was decided to give 75 passes to each respected dindi. The entire plan has been implemented.
Fadnavis further said that some local youths tried to provoke the situation. Therefore, there was a little commotion. Now the situation is completely calm and the police are discussing with the locals. We also take this matter seriously.
Some media outlets have reported that there was a big lathi charge, I request them not to do anything that will create unrest among the people. Last year's incident was not politicized by us, and I also urge my political colleagues to understand the situation. The safety of the pilgrims is of utmost importance to us. If they want to politicize this situation, they will have to use their intelligence.
