As technology changes rapidly, it is necessary to constantly adapt to new challenges and change the education system accordingly, otherwise, the education system will become outdated and useless.
The new academic standards are being developed in the country by recognizing future challenges. These standards are based on expansion, inclusivity, and excellence, with a focus on employability. To provide education to those who desire it, expansion is essential. Students who pursue higher education receive 23% of the total education, and this percentage should be increased to 50%. The entire system should be designed to provide students with the necessary resources and facilities. This is a significant challenge.
Progressive Education Society is an institution that works like a pillar of knowledge. It is imperative to provide education to those who lack it, especially in the face of unemployment. Academic excellence and employability are crucial in such circumstances. To achieve this, colleges need to coordinate accreditation and curriculum with autonomy to improve academic quality. Universities need to focus on providing the best education possible. The Progressive Education Society has set an example in the field of education by addressing the educational needs of the modern era. This institution is a beacon of hope in the midst of the country's progress, as stated by Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Fadnavis.
Regarding the autonomy of universities in terms of curriculum, Education Minister Mr. Patil said that the Progressive Society has always been at the forefront of excellence. The education provided at modern colleges is in line with new academic standards, and it includes both the future and the past. In the state, 1,500 colleges will implement new academic standards.
In the future, skill development, education in the mother tongue, knowledge of our traditions, and value education will be included in the new academic standards. The obstacles to starting new courses at private Universities and other colleges will soon be overcome. private Universities will waive the fees of 10% of poor students, as they have promised.
