Pune's 1st Pickleball Tournament organized by CrickFitNet Academy and Thakare Pickleball Academy
Pune: Prize distribution ceremony of Pune's 1st Pickleball Tournament was held at CrickFitNet Academy,Thergaon.The tournament, organized by the Thakare Pickleball Academy , CrickFitNet Academy,in association with 'Gliderz'-a Pickleball Brand which is India’s only and first ball manufacturer for this sport. .Tournament saw remarkable performances by participants. The players showcased their agility, precision, and competitive spirit throughout the day, making it a true celebration of this rapidly growing racquet sport.
Ajay Chaudhari,Sai Parkar, National Player Vrushali Thakre, Vikram Bhosale,Rohit Sathu from Gliderz were present in the closing ceremony.And finally, the coveted "Tournament of the Player" award goes to Sai Parkar, who displayed exemplary skills and sportsmanship, winning 2 Gold, 1 Silver, and 1 Bronze in various categories.
Organizers thanked All India Pickleball Association (AIPA) for sanctioning the tournament, Arvind R Prabhoo, President of AIPA, for their unwavering support,and - Maharashtra Pickleball Association for their cooperation.
Deep Upadhye, Product designer at Gliderz said that; In alignment with Aatmanirbhar Bharat, many sports equipment’s can be developed in-house for our players to become professionals and represent India in Pickleball sports. My engagement with players during a Tournament organised at CricFitAcademy, Pune gave a good insight on the products pipeline that we are currently developing.
Rakesh Nigudkar, Product head, said that, “such good turnout in event has been really showing potential of growth of Pickleball in Pune.”
