Buldhana: A private bus going from Nagpur to Pune met with a terrible accident near Buldhana on Samriddhi Highway on Friday at midnight. As the tire of the bus burst, the bus hit the electric poles on the highway and overturned. The bus caught fire immediately, making it impossible for the trapped passengers to get out. As a result, 25 passengers were burnt to death. It includes 3 small children. 8 people including the bus driver have survived. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has expressed grief over this tragedy and has announced an aid of Rs 5 lakh each from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to the relatives of the deceased.
According to the information received, the luxury bus of Vidarbha Travels which had an accident was on its way to Pune from Nagpur. There were approximately 33 passengers in this bus. Around midnight, the tires of the bus burst near the Sindkhedaraja area near Buldhana. The tire burst and the driver lost control of the bus and the uncontrolled bus hit the road divider. The bus caught fire instantly after the accident. So the passengers did not even get a chance to get out. 25 passengers have died due to getting stuck in the bus. Identification of the dead passengers is underway.

District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, Names of two injured passengers could not be ascertained.
25 completely burnt bodies have been taken to District General Hospital Buldhana for further examination. 8 rescued passengers have been given first aid and their condition is stable. The driver and the cleaner have been taken to police station Sindkhed Raja for further inquiry.
