Pune: After Nationalist Congress Party leader Ajit Pawar joined hands with the ruling BJP-Shiv Sena alliance, there have been significant changes in the state's politics. While there has been a split in the NCP party, both groups' leaders have become aggressive. Ajit Pawar's entry into the BJP has disrupted the balance of power in the state's politics.
Since Ajit Pawar joined the BJP, there have been discussions about the dissatisfaction of former minister Harshvardhan Patil from Indapur. After 2014, Harshvardhan Patil joined the BJP. Due to Ajit Pawar's participation in the government, Harshvardhan Patil's position has been compromised. In the Pune district, Harshvardhan Patil and Ajit Pawar have been political opponents. Both leaders have been in constant opposition to each other in the district bank and the cooperative sector. Therefore, it is difficult for both leaders to collaborate to gain dominance in the cooperative sector in Pune.
Along with Harshvardhan Patil, Rahul Kul, the present MLA from Daund, former district council president Pradeep Kand, and Sudarshan Chaudhary, the director of Haveli Agricultural Produce Market Committee, have also been dissatisfied due to Ajit Pawar's entry into BJP-Shiv Sena alliance
This development has caused a stir. Harshvardhan Patil, Rahul Kul, and Pradeep Kand are expected to contest the upcoming elections from Indapur, Daund, and Shirur constituencies respectively. However, due to unforeseen events, it is still being determined what the future holds. This picture depicts the BJP's leaders in the district and these three leaders being challenged.
The Indapur constituency and Ajit Pawar's Baramati constituency are located near each other. Harshvardhan Patil had contested from Indapur in 1995. At that time, Sharad Pawar did not give him the candidacy, so Harshvardhan Patil rebelled. Since then, there has been a strained relationship between the Pawar and Patil families. Now, the alliance between Harshvardhan Patil and Ajit Pawar seems to be complicated. Therefore, it is certain that there will be a struggle between the BJP and the Nationalist Congress Party in the Pune district in the upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, a few days ago, Devendra Fadnavis had called for the BJP leaders and workers to prepare for sacrifice in a meeting held in Mumbai. This sacrifice is expected to be made for the leaders of the Nationalist Congress Party. Now, the party workers are wondering where to turn.
