Mumbai: A person working a job retires at the age of 58. IAS and IPS officers retire at the age of 60. In politics, one should retire in the BJP at the age of 75. Now that you are 83, are you going to stop or not? When will you allow the youth? Ajit Pawar posed these questions while targeting Sharad Pawar on July 5th.
Ajit Pawar spoke at a meeting of the Ajit Pawar group held at the Mumbai Education Trust's premises. He said, "In 2004, the NCP won 71 seats in the elections. At that time, I could have become the Chief Minister, and until now, the Chief Minister of the state would have been from the NCP. I also feel that I should have been the head of the state. Give me your blessings. If I made a mistake, let me know. Correct the mistake and move forward. Now, let the new generation come forward in politics. I have spoken a little today. But, if there are meetings in the future, I will have to speak more," Ajit Pawar said, giving a hint to Sharad Pawar.
Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar has filed an application with the Election Commission claiming that his group is the official NCP and has submitted the affidavits of 40 MLAs as evidence. However,
Sharad Pawar's group also filed a caveat before the Election Commission and requested that let their side should be considered before announcing the decision.
