Pune: Under the guidance of the District Collector Pune and Chief Forest Conservator and Deputy Forest Conservator Pune, the Revenue and Forest Department will be planting saplings, and seeds, and watering them under the Haritwari Abhiyan at the Palkhi procession staying areas.
This campaign will be carried out with the cooperation of the forest areas along the Palkhi route, and 5,000 seed balls and 25,000 seedlings will be planted in the Bhambrud and Saswad forest areas of Pune. Additionally, 50 trees were planted in the Loni Kalbhor area by 50 volunteers.
The campaign has received a positive response from the Warkari community.
The Forest Department will be carrying out the program of distributing seeds, seed balls, ropes, and watering at the locations of the Palkhi procession in Dehu Gaon, Alandi, Jejuri, Walhe, Neera, Lonand, Phaltan, Baramati, Belvadi Ringan, Walchandnagar, and Natepute.
