Panvel: In Panvel taluka, due to the large-scale construction work. many crushers and quarries are operating without following the rules. As a result, due to the pollution of 80 to 100 crushers, the Kundevahal, Maanghar, Patnoli, and Pushpaknagar nodes have been affected. many elder people and young children are facing a lot of breathing problems.
Citizens repeatedly complain to the administration about the serious matter. Even after the instructions of the officials of the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board, no action has been taken. As a result, on June 11, the villagers protested against this pollution and blocked the roads leading to the crushers and quarries
Citizens warn the administration that If immediate action is not taken against this pollution, there will be a large-scale protests in the future. Kundevahal village members, all members of the Gram Panchayat, Sarpanch Sadashiv Vaskar, and 27 village committee members, C.T. Patil, Vikrant Gharat, Sunil Katekar, Prem Patil, Kiran Pawar, and other citizens were present at this protest.
